LEADERSHIP
Ben Pond, RSe
CEO and Director
Ben leads Nuvo. He guides the field team, sales, and the direction of the company. His background runs across industrial, commercial, and large-scale construction, from schools to refineries to major infrastructure. That experience taught him what makes a client relationship work. Ben grew up all over the world, from Quebec to Madagascar to Kenya, before settling in the Edmonton area 16 years ago. He now lives in Sturgeon County with his wife and their three kids. Outside work you’ll find him fly fishing, coaching his son’s soccer, or in the backcountry with a fishing rod. For Ben, communication and integrity are non-negotiable.
Conrad Jones
Owner and CFO
Conrad runs the engine room at Nuvo. Financials, technology, business planning, and the preconstruction process that gets every job ready for the build. He oversees estimating and drafting, so the plan is solid before a single tool comes out. Conrad is Edmonton born and raised. His standard is simple. If it’s not right, it’s not done. He won’t spend a client’s money on anything he wouldn’t pay for in his own home. Away from the office he’s biking, playing soccer, or walking the trails at Terwillegar with his dog Gus. Family, faith, and the cabin fill his weekends.
Dustin Goertz
Site Superintendent
Aya helps clients bring their ideas to life. She guides the design and selections process, so the choices that can feel overwhelming become clear and calm. She leads with patience and a real eye for detail. Aya came to Edmonton from Lebanon and has been here ten years. She loves seeing a client’s vision take shape and hearing that she made the whole thing easier. Outside work she plays soccer, spends time with family, and enjoys a good comedy drama.
Skye Hindson
Estimator
Skye turns plans into accurate numbers. She builds the estimates that set a project up right, then watches those numbers come to life on site. She’s a planner by nature, ambitious, and detail-driven. Skye grew up in a small Okanagan town and carries that appreciation for the outdoors with her. When she’s not working she’s fly fishing, reading by a fire, or up early to catch a Formula One race. She also plays in local crib tournaments for fun.
Kirk Schultz
Site Manager
Kirk runs the job site. With more than 20 years in residential construction and a journeyman certificate in machining, he brings the experience and attention to detail that gets a finish right. He takes time to listen, explain, and understand what a client wants, then works to deliver it. Kirk grew up in Camrose and has been in the Edmonton area for 26 years. He’s a husband and dad of three teenagers. Outside work he’s mountain biking, skiing, or camping. He also bakes his own sourdough from scratch.
Taylor Seegmiller
Administrative Assistant
Taylor keeps things running behind the scenes. She handles the day-to-day that keeps projects and clients supported, and she owns her work with honesty. Her take on Nuvo says a lot. The company means business, but it’s fun too. Taylor came from Airdrie and has been with the team over a year. She’s a hockey player and fan, currently deep in a Survivor binge, and happy to call herself an old soul.
John Granger
Sales Manager
John is often the first person a client meets. He guides homeowners through the maze of choosing a contractor, from the first conversation to a finished project. His time on the tools taught him what to do and what not to do, and he brings that honesty to every client. He doesn’t believe in “another day, another project.” Each one is personal. John was born in Edmonton and has lived here his whole life. He’s a husband, a dad of three, and a stepdad he’s proud to be. Weekends mean fly fishing, camping, and adventures with the dogs.
Roland Rivard
Pre-Construction Manager
Roland gets every project ready before the build begins. He owned his own residential construction company and managed projects from first consultation through completion, so he knows what a successful build takes. His approach is built on trust. He wants every client to feel they can have honest, even difficult, conversations with him, because transparency leads to the best outcome for everyone. Roland grew up on a farm an hour north of Edmonton near Legal, and moved to St. Albert in 2021. He and his wife have five kids, four girls and a boy. He’s a cyclist, a reader, and a self-professed Lego nerd. He might surprise you. He loves to sing.
