NUVO Warranty & Client Protection
A Minimum 2 Year Warranty on Workmanship
As a RenoMark member, NUVO provides at least a two-year warranty on workmanship and materials related to the project.
This warranty means:
- If issues arise due to installation errors or defects in work covered by NUVO’s contract, they will be corrected at NUVO’s expense within this period, subject to contract terms.
- This two-year term offers extended assurance for our customers.
You’re not left on your own after construction finishes — At NUVO we stand behind our work
RenoMark Membership: Renovate with Confidence
NUVO Construction is a certified RenoMark Renovator. RenoMark is a nationally recognized program delivered through the Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA) and local Home Builders’ Associations (BILD Edmonton-Metro). RenoMark identifies professional renovators who:
- Commit to a specific Code of Conduct that sets a high performance and service standard
- Must provide a detailed written contract for every job, ensuring expectations are clearly defined before work begins.
- Carry proper licenses, permits, and at least $2 million in liability insurance, protecting you from many forms of loss.
- Respond to homeowner inquiries within a defined timeframe, enhancing accountability. (We like to respond within 1 business day, often same day)
Homeowner Protection Element: This membership means your contractor has voluntarily agreed to transparency, high standard of practices, and not just the minimum legal requirements.
Prepaid Contractor Licence (Alberta)
NUVO holds a Prepaid Contractor Licence under the Alberta Consumer Protection Act.
This licence applies when a contractor accepts payment before most or all work is completed and is intended to give you statutory safeguards such as:
- A regulated contract framework, these prepaid contracts must meet content and disclosure requirements under the Consumer Protection Act.
- If contract requirements are not met (e.g., missing disclosure or licensing), you have enhanced cancellation rights and protections under provincial law.
Journeyman Carpenters & NAIT Trained Staff
Although this isn’t a warranty item, having highly trained and certified tradespeople:
- Reduces the likelihood of defects and increases the quality of workmanship.
- Helps ensure projects meet building codes and technical standards.
Client Protection Element: Well-trained people lead to fewer issues, stronger long-term results, and easier warranty fulfillment when needed.
